We all carry tags.
Price tags, name tags, tickets, brand labels, and even Instagram hashtags. Our name, school, address, age, gender, and even what we eat and drink are all turned into labels and attached to us. These countless “tags” placed on us by society sometimes represent us, and sometimes conceal us. If we follow the traces of those tags, will we really arrive at the true self at the end? Or will we only find something that pretends to be me? Can the labels attached to me really define who I am? Or is it only after removing all of them that I can finally become my true self? How much is the price tag attached to me worth?

This project approaches the tag as both a visual language and a social device, and explores how human identity is defined, classified, and reconstructed through it. By visually examining the creation, disappearance, and redefinition of tags, this project suggests that identity is not something fixed, but a continuous flow of traces that are attached and detached over time.
